Mox strategy
Reaper King is a powerful tribal payoff and one of the strongest “sweeper” commanders for Scarecrow decks. Its biggest strength is turning every Scarecrow entering under your control into targeted removal, letting you repeatedly answer any permanent type, including lands, artifacts, and planeswalkers.
Best use cases are Commander decks built to maximize Scarecrows, changelings, and color-fixing so you can cast its highly hybrid mana cost reliably. It also works well in blink, reanimation, or token shells that can repeatedly trigger the destroy ability.
Key synergies include changelings like Universal Automaton, Masked Vandal, and Realmwalker, since they count as Scarecrows and trigger Reaper King. Blink effects and recursion make it even stronger by reusing enter-the-battlefield triggers. Cards that create multiple creature entries or copy creatures can quickly lock down the board.
Gameplay-wise, Reaper King supports an attrition-control plan: build a board of Scarecrows, then convert every new creature into removal. Once established, it can snowball hard and dominate long games.
