Mox strategy
Paradoxical Outcome is a powerful instant-speed engine for combo and artifact-heavy decks. Its main strength is turning low-cost permanents into a burst of cards while rebuying mana rocks, zero-mana artifacts, or value permanents for reuse. It’s especially strong when you can return 3+ permanents, since it effectively refunds cards and mana-tempo at once.
Best synergies are with cheap artifacts like Mox Opal, Mana Crypt, Lotus Petal, Sensei’s Divining Top, and other zero- or one-mana permanents; it also pairs well with Token generators that leave behind non-token artifacts, and with effects that trigger on cast or ETB when you redeploy the bounced cards. In combo shells, it can fuel storm turns, reset artifact count, and dig deep for finishers.
Mechanically, it supports card draw, tempo loops, mana acceleration, and recursion-by-recast. The key deckbuilding tip is to maximize high-value permanents that are cheap to replay, since Outcome is weakest when it only bounces one or two cards.
