Mox strategy
Leonardo's Technique is a flexible recursion spell with a strong best case in white creature decks. Its main strength is reanimating one or two cheap creatures for 3 mana total, which can swing grindy games by rebuilding board presence or rebuying enter-the-battlefield effects. Sneak 1W makes it especially efficient if you already have an unblocked attacker, letting you return a threat and re-trigger value while preserving tempo.
Best use cases are go-wide or combat-focused decks with evasive creatures, self-mill shells, and white midrange builds that want repeatable ETB value. It gets much stronger with creatures that draw cards, remove permanents, make tokens, or tutor on entry, and it pairs well with sacrifice outlets, self-mill, and creatures you’re happy to attack with early and then bounce for value. Key mechanic support: graveyard recursion, combat-based casting reduction, and ETB looping.
