Enchant creature card in a graveyard
When this Aura enters, if it's on the battlefield, it loses "enchant creature card in a graveyard" and gains "enchant creature put onto the battlefield with this Aura." Put enchanted creature card onto the battlefield tapped under your control and attach this Aura to it. When this Aura leaves the battlefield, that creature's controller sacrifices it.
Enchanted creature gets +1/+1 and doesn't untap during its controller's untap step.
At the beginning of the upkeep of enchanted creature's controller, that player may pay 1B. If the player does, untap that creature.
Mox strategy
Dance of the Dead excels at reanimating key creature cards from any graveyard under your control quickly and at a low mana cost. Its primary strength is efficient graveyard recursion with a built-in aura buff (+1/+1). Best used in decks with a strong graveyard synergy or self-mill to feed valuable creatures to the graveyard.
Synergizes well with sacrifice outlets since the creature is sacrificed if Dance of the Dead leaves play, letting you trigger death effects or reanimate again. Works nicely with creatures that have powerful ETB or death triggers.
Enables a slow-control style by limiting the creature's untap phase while giving the creature potential repeatable activation if the controller pays 1B. This can stall or tax opponents while gaining more value from reanimated threats. Ideal in decks focused on incremental advantage from graveyard recursion and attrition strategies.
