Mox strategy
Wydwen, the Biting Gale is a strong flash evasive threat that doubles as built-in protection. Its main strength is flexibility: you can hold up interaction, then deploy a 3/3 flying attacker at instant speed, and bounce it back to dodge removal or reuse enters-the-battlefield effects. It’s best in tempo, control, and commander decks that can spare life and mana.
Key synergies: mana-ramp and draw-go shells that want to use mana on opponents’ turns; ninjutsu/hand-bounce style plans; equipment or auras that become safer when the creature can be picked up in response to removal; and life-gain or efficient life-payment support to offset its bounce cost. It also pairs well with counterspells and instant-speed interaction, since you can represent answers while still advancing pressure.
Gameplay role: evasive commander/finisher, a recurring threat, and a control tool that enables reactive play. The life payment matters in long games, so it shines most when your deck can convert tempo into inevitability.
