Ascend (If you control ten or more permanents, you get the city's blessing for the rest of the game.)
You may play an additional land on each of your turns.
This creature can't attack or block unless you have the city's blessing.
Mox strategy
Wayward Swordtooth excels in ramp and land-heavy decks by allowing an extra land drop each turn, accelerating mana development. Its large 5/5 body is strong once you achieve the city's blessing, which requires controlling ten or more permanents, emphasizing a wide board strategy. Best used in decks that can quickly generate multiple permanents (tokens, artifacts, enchantments) to gain the blessing and enable combat. Synergizes well with token generators, artifact/enchantment decks, and cards that benefit from many permanents (like Felidar Retreat). Enables land-focused combos and late-game dominance but is weak early without the blessing since it can’t attack or block until then. Great in ramp-focused or value-heavy midrange builds.
