Mox strategy
Radstorm is a high-ceiling spells-matter finisher, strongest in decks that can cast multiple cheap spells in one turn. Storm lets it scale explosively, while proliferate converts that burst into more counters on planeswalkers, poison, energy, +1/+1 counters, sagas, or loyalty-based boards.
Best use cases:
- Storm/combo decks that chain cantrips, rituals, and free spells
- Superfriends lists that want extra loyalty and board pressure
- Counter-based decks that benefit from repeated proliferate triggers
- Spellslinger decks with token or counter synergies
Key synergies:
- Cheap cantrips and rituals to raise storm count
- Untap/mana engines like mana rocks or cost reducers to help chain spells
- Planeswalkers, poison strategies, and charge/counter-heavy permanents
- Copy effects and spell recursion to increase storm turns
Gameplay role:
- Scales dramatically late turn, often turning a normal spell chain into a board-wide value swing
- Provides both win-con potential and utility, making it flexible in combo-heavy metas
Main drawback:
- Slow at 3U if you aren’t reliably casting multiple spells beforehand, so it needs dedicated support to be efficient.
