Mox strategy
Oboro, Palace in the Clouds is a premium utility land: it fixes blue mana while also protecting itself from land destruction, Exile-to-land effects, and opposing targeting by bouncing to hand for 1 mana. It’s best in blue decks that value land synergies, want to hit land drops repeatedly, or care about landfall/landfall-like triggers.
Strong synergies include cards that reward replaying lands or picking them up, such as Tireless Tracker, Retreat to Coralhelm, Lotus Cobra, and any landfall shell. It also pairs well with effects that let you repeatedly reuse bounce lands or enable “extra land drop” styles of play.
Key mechanic it supports is self-bounce as a resource: you can save it from removal, rebuy a landfall trigger, or reuse hand-size/land-drop sequencing. It’s strongest in Commander and control/combo shells, but is usually too slow for aggressive decks.
