Mox strategy
Solid budget dual land for red-white decks, especially in slower formats or two-color Commander lists that value fixing over speed. Its main strength is reliable mana smoothing: it taps for either red or white, and the late-game scry 1 gives minor card selection when you have mana to spare.
Best used in decks that can tolerate an enters-tapped land and want cheap, consistent fixing, especially Jeskai-style or Boros shells with a light curve. It’s strongest in slower control, midrange, and limited-style mana bases where the scry can help dig for land drops or action.
Key synergies: landfall and “enter tapped” payoffs, untap effects, and any deck that benefits from repeatable scrying or mana sink usage. It supports basic two-color consistency rather than explosive starts, so it’s usually better in casual/Commander than in faster constructed decks.
