Lifted by Clouds

Lifted by Clouds is a low-impact combat trick that can be useful in Arcane-heavy decks. Its main strength is flexibility: it can push damage through, enable a key attacker to evade blockers, or save a creature from ground-based stalls by granting flying for a turn. The real upside is splice onto Arcane, which lets it generate extra value when paired with other Arcane spells instead of costing a full card. Best use cases are limited formats or niche Commander builds that care about Arcane/splice synergies, especially alongside cards that trigger on casting spells or repeatedly cast Arcane spells. It pairs best with other Arcane cards to keep your hand full while layering evasion onto important creatures. Key mechanic it supports: temporary evasion. That makes it strongest in aggressive decks trying to force through combat damage, but at 3 mana for a one-turn flying effect, it is generally a very inefficient standalone card outside its synergy shell.
