Judgment Bolt is a solid removal spell that also pressures the opponent, especially in Equipment-heavy decks. Its main strength is answering a creature while turning your board into extra damage to the controller, which can swing races and close games quickly. Best in decks that reliably keep multiple Equipment on board, such as Boros Equipment, Voltron, or aggressive midrange builds. It gets much better with cheap, reusable Equipment and cards that make equip costs easier, since the damage to the controller scales with how many Equipment you control, not how many are attached. Key synergies are cards that generate Equipment tokens or reward wide artifact presence, plus creatures that can keep attacking while you hold up a removal spell. It supports a tempo plan: remove a blocker, deal face damage, and keep the pressure on.
