Mox strategy
Jace, Wielder of Mysteries is a strong combo-finisher and self-mill payoff. His biggest strength is turning empty-library situations into an immediate win, while also protecting himself with repeated card draw and incidental mill.
Best use cases: combo decks that can empty their library, control decks that need a backup win condition, and commander lists built around self-mill or drawing through the deck quickly.
Key synergies: Thassa’s Oracle-style win lines, Laboratory Maniac effects, consultation/tutor combos, self-mill engines, and wheels that rapidly reduce library size. His +1 is useful for dig, disruption, and fueling graveyard strategies; the -8 is mostly a backup if you can already reach the no-library state.
Practical tip: include card draw, mill, or library-exile effects that reliably reach zero cards, and protect Jace with counterspells or removal to force opponents to answer him before you combo.
