Mox strategy
Flame of Anor is a very strong flexible instant for Izzet decks, especially ones that naturally run Wizards. Its best modes are draw 2 for card advantage, destroy artifact for efficient interaction, and 5 damage to a creature for premium removal. With a Wizard in play as you cast it, getting two modes makes it excellent tempo and value.
It works especially well in Wizard tribal, spell-slinger, and control shells that want instant-speed versatility. Strong synergies include cheap Wizards, flash creatures, and decks that can reliably hold up mana while threatening multiple answers. It also pairs well with cost reduction and instants-matter cards because it can be held up as a reactive toolbox spell.
Key mechanic it supports: modal flexibility. In practice, it rewards deck building around Wizards and a broad answer package, letting one card cover card draw, artifact hate, and creature removal.
