Expand the Sphere is a solid ramp-and-value sorcery for green decks that care about both mana development and counters. Its main strength is that it can put up to two lands straight onto the battlefield, which is strong for fixing, landfall, and accelerating into bigger plays. If it only finds one or zero lands, the proliferate rider helps keep it useful by growing planeswalkers, counters, or poison. Best in decks with high land density, landfall payoffs, planeswalkers, +1/+1 counters, or poison/counter-based strategies. It’s especially good when your deck can benefit from proliferate even if the ramp portion underperforms. Pair it with cards that already put counters on permanents, since extra proliferate turns every counter into more pressure.
