Mox strategy
Elenda's Hierophant is a strong white lifegain payoff and a solid sacrifice threat. Its main value is scaling quickly off incidental life gain, then converting into a burst of lifelink Vampire tokens when it dies, which makes it excellent in Orzhov lifegain, aristocrats, and go-wide token decks.
Best uses: repeated life gain triggers, sacrifice outlets, and decks that can intentionally kill it at high power to maximize token output. It’s especially good with cards that gain life on creature ETB, lifelink board states, and effects that can recur or clone it.
Key synergies: sacrifice outlets like Viscera Seer or Carrion Feeder, death-trigger doublers, reanimation, and protection spells that let you build it up safely. It also pairs well with token payoffs and anthem effects, since the tokens it makes already have lifelink and can stabilize races.
Gameplay role: a snowballing threat that pressures opponents while supporting life-total-based game plans. It’s best when you can reliably gain life every turn and then cash it in for a large death trigger.
