Mox strategy
Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief is a strong mono-black finisher and flexible removal engine. Her best use is in Commander and slower midrange/control decks where you can hold up mana and turn excess lands into either a lethal attacker or a creature-kill spell.
Strengths: flying gives evasion, and her activated ability scales well into the late game. She can answer almost any creature if you can pay enough mana, and the power boost lets her close games quickly.
Synergies: works especially well with mana ramp, Coffers/Urborg-style big-mana shells, and untap effects. She pairs nicely with deathtouch support, since even small X values can make combat miserable for opponents, and with life-drain or sacrifice themes that buy time for her to dominate the board.
Gameplay mechanics supported: repeatable spot removal, mana sink, commander damage, and big-mana scaling. Best played when you can protect her and keep mana open, because she is strongest as a flexible threat that threatens both removal and finishing damage.
