Mox strategy
Door of Destinies is a tribal payoff card best in creature-type-focused decks, especially Commander. Its main strength is scaling your board over time: every spell of the chosen creature type adds a counter, and all of those creatures get progressively larger, so it can turn a wide board into a lethal threat.
Best use cases are tribes that cast lots of cheap creatures of the same type, like Goblins, Elves, Soldiers, Wizards, or Dragons. It gets much stronger with token-makers, tribal cost reducers, and repeatable creature-type spells because they quickly build counters. It also pairs well with cards that let you cast multiple creatures in a turn or recur tribal creatures from graveyard.
Key gameplay mechanics it supports are snowballing anthem effects, tribal synergy, and go-wide combat pressure. It’s slow at 4 mana and does nothing immediately without follow-up, so it’s strongest in dedicated tribal decks rather than casual creature piles.
