Demonic Counsel is a cheap tutor with strong tribal upside. At base, it finds any Demon in your deck for just 2 mana, which is efficient in Demon-heavy Commander or theme decks. With delirium online, it becomes a real Demonic Tutor-style effect, turning into a flexible all-purpose search spell. Best use cases: Demon tribal, graveyard decks that hit delirium quickly, and black midrange/combo lists that want redundancy on key cards. It’s strongest when your deck naturally fills the graveyard with different card types, making the delirium mode consistent. Good synergies: self-mill, fetch lands, cheap artifacts/enchantments/instants/sorceries to diversify graveyard types, and powerful Demon finishers or combo pieces you can tutor for directly. It also pairs well with recursion if you want to reuse the tutor effect. Key mechanics it supports: tutoring, tribal search, and delirium.
