Enchant creature
When this Aura enters, tap enchanted creature.
Enchanted creature doesn't untap during its controller's untap step.
Mox strategy
Containment Protocol is a solid tempo/removal Aura for blue decks that want to neutralize a key creature without fully destroying it. Its best use is stopping a blocker, attacker, or utility creature long enough to push damage or set up a win.
It’s strongest against creatures that are expensive to recast, rely on attacking, or only matter when untapped. It pairs well with bounce, flicker, or sacrifice effects that let you reuse the tap-and-lock effect on new targets. It also works nicely in deck shells that want cheap interaction while keeping mana open.
Main drawback: it’s vulnerable to getting blown out by removal because you lose the Aura and the creature can return to normal if the enchantment leaves. Best in limited or casual control/tempo decks where repeatable creature suppression matters.
