Mox strategy
Clay Revenant is a low-cost recursive blocker that’s best in grindy decks and sacrifice shells. A 1/2 for 1 mana is modest, but entering tapped means it’s mainly a defensive body or artifact/creature count enabler rather than an aggressive threat.
Its strength is repeated graveyard access: 2B returns it to hand, so it’s excellent with discard outlets, self-mill, sacrifice effects, and any deck that wants a cheap permanent to recur over and over. It also pairs well with artifact synergies, death triggers, and cards that care about creatures in graveyards or returning to hand.
Key mechanics it supports are recursion, attrition, and sacrifice loops. Practical use: play it in black-based grind decks, aristocrats, or artifact-matter lists where a cheap, reusable creature helps stall early attacks and fuel value engines.
