Celestine, the Living Saint is a strong value-oriented reanimation engine for lifegain decks. A 3/4 flyer with lifelink already stabilizes the board, and her end-step trigger can recur a creature every turn if you gain enough life. Best use cases: Commander and grindy midrange shells that can reliably gain life each turn. She’s especially good at re-buying utility creatures, combo pieces, or value creatures with mana value at or below your life-gain total. Key synergies: repeatable lifegain from lifelink, Soul Sisters-style cards, lifegain triggers, and creatures with enters-the-battlefield effects. She works well with cards that gain large chunks of life in one turn, since that raises the mana value ceiling for recursion. Sacrifice outlets and self-mill also help stock the graveyard. Gameplay mechanics: end-step recursion, life-gain threshold scaling, and recursive creature advantage. She rewards building around sustained life gain rather than burst damage, and she can quickly snowball if left unanswered.
