Flying
At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice this creature unless you say its flavor text.
Mox strategy
Carnivorous Death-Parrot is a quirky 2/2 flyer for 1U that offers efficient evasive pressure, but it comes with a very real upkeep drawback. Its best use is in casual or themed decks that can consistently satisfy the flavor-text clause, turning it into a solid early air attacker. It pairs well with effects that let you avoid or ignore upkeep sacrifices, or with cards that manipulate text and abilities, but those synergies are niche. It mainly supports aggressive tempo play in low-curve blue decks, though the card is more of a novelty than a staple because the cost of failure is losing the creature every turn.
