Mox strategy
Call for Aid is a high-impact, one-turn swing card that can completely flip combat or enable a surprise alpha strike. Its main strength is stealing an opponent’s board for a turn, untapping everything, and granting haste, so it’s best when you can use the borrowed creatures to attack other players or leverage tap abilities immediately. It’s especially strong in multiplayer Commander, where you can redirect an opponent’s whole board into someone else’s life total.
Best synergies are with mass pump effects, extra combat steps, and ETB/tap abilities that benefit from temporary control. It also pairs well with sacrifice outlets only indirectly? actually you can’t sacrifice the creatures this turn, so it’s poor with sac-based payoff lines. Because you can’t attack the targeted player, its value is highest in pods where another opponent is the best attack target. Overall: powerful but high-mana, narrow, and best in decks that can capitalize on a single explosive turn rather than grind value.
