Mox strategy
Cactuar is a very efficient 1-mana threat: 3/3 trample for G is excellent rate, but it’s temporary unless you can keep reusing its “bounce back to hand” clause. Best in decks that want repeated cheap pressure, hand-bounce value, or spell-based recursion.
Strong with effects that grant haste, protect it, or let you replay it profitably; it also pairs well with bounce-friendly synergies, landfall-style tempo shells, and cards that care about casting cheap creatures multiple times. It’s weakest in decks that want a permanent board presence without extra support.
Key mechanics it supports: high early damage output, trample-based combat pressure, self-bounce/value loops, and repeatable cast triggers.
