Φ, T: Tap target creature. (Φ can be paid with either W or 2 life.)
Mox strategy
Blinding Souleater is a low-cost repeatable tap effect on a sturdy 1/3 body. Its main strength is slowing down a key attacker or blocker every turn, and in longer games it can effectively neutralize opposing creatures.
Best in decks that can use life as a resource, since Φ lets you activate it without white mana by paying 2 life. It’s especially good with untap effects, proliferate-style resource denial, or equipment that protects a small utility creature.
Key synergies: untap engines let it tap multiple creatures per turn; lifegain offsets the Phyrexian mana cost; sacrifice/recursion decks can reuse it as cheap repeatable interaction. It supports tempo, stall, and tap-down control plans, but it’s mana-inefficient if you need immediate, high-impact removal.
